1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
We collect information you give us directly — for example when you reserve a spot at an event, apply for a business directory listing, request information, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, industry, and any other details you choose to submit through our forms.
Business listing information
If you list a business in our directory, the information you submit for that listing (such as business name, description, category, contact details, and links) is displayed publicly as part of the directory. Do not submit information in those fields that you do not want shown publicly.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our websites, we and our providers may automatically collect technical and usage data — such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring pages — through cookies and similar technologies, including advertising pixels (for example, the Meta/Facebook pixel) and analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To register you for and manage networking events, and to send event reminders and updates;
- To create, display, and manage your business directory listing;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- To send communications and marketing about our events, directory, and related services (you can opt out at any time);
- To operate, maintain, analyze, and improve our websites and services;
- To measure and improve our advertising, including retargeting/remarketing campaigns;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We may use the information we collect and share it with our partners as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
- Partners. We may share your information with our trusted business partners, sponsors, and affiliated businesses — for example, to coordinate or promote events, offer products and services that may interest you, and support community partnerships. We ask our partners to handle your information responsibly. We do not sell your personal information.
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to operate our business, including GoHighLevel (customer relationship management, email/SMS communications), Supabase (database and backend hosting), Netlify (website hosting), and Meta/Facebook and analytics providers (advertising and measurement). These providers process information on our behalf.
- Public directory listings. Business listing information is shown publicly in the directory and may be indexed by search engines.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Middleton Networking, our members, or others.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand how it is used, and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage interest-based advertising through your device or the relevant ad platform's preferences (for example, Meta's ad settings). Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
5. Marketing & SMS Communications
If you provide your phone number or email, you consent to receive event reminders, updates, and promotional messages from us. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, or opt out of texts by replying STOP. You may still receive non-promotional messages related to a listing or registration you have with us.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your listing or registration, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You may request to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
8. Third-Party Links
Our directory and websites contain links to third-party websites and businesses that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
